Boxer At Blenheim Refuses To Continue.
Press Association—Copyright. Blenheim, June 18. Fcrty-eight hours after making the featherweight limit for a title bout which did not eventuate, Clarrie Rayner, Blenheim, to-night met Alf Reekie, Australia, in a lightweight contest. The bout, scheduled for to rounds, ended unsatisfactorily in the third round. Reekie claimed a foul. The referee, Mr. F. O'Neill, Greymouth, ordered him to continue, and when he refused awarded Rayner the decision. A doctor said he discovered no evidence of a foul.
