CHARITY TAX. Melbourne, June 17. The imposition of a charity tax or the introduction of a compulsory contribution scheme is expected to be announced by the State Government when its policy for financing public ho&pitals is outlined shortly. The present method of financing these institutions! J>y Government grants and private donations has proved totally unsatisfactory.
