LICENSING OF BAKERIES

The Government proposal to license industries has given rise to some concern and it has been suggested that the Government may decide on an immediate system' of -licensing bakeries .arid eliminating uneconomic units. It was stated in official circles to-day that the baking industry had no reason to 'fear that any drastic action would be taken before a full inquiry was made and all relevant factors considered, including wages, in every industry. All sides would be given an .opportunity to state their case.
