A very satisfactory year with a continued expansion in every department was reported by the chairman of the board of trustees of the New Zealand Institute for the Blind, Mr. A. J. Hutchinson, at the annual meeting of contributors to-day. The total number of blind persons throughout the Dominion with whom the institute keeps in constant touch is now almost 1000, said Mr. Hutchinson. .- ' • The staff and, blind members of the workshops achieved a record in the quantity and value of goods. Sales amounted to £13,328, an increase of £483 on the previous year.
