>QCZ=3PC^>O< —30<^Zr>Ow^>0< —>o< —>ck —>0< Mrs Collingwood, who ha 3 been a member of the Avon Croquet Club for, several years, was the guest of honour at a farewell afternoon given by the Avon members on Saturday, prior to her leaving to reside in New Plymouth. The afternoon was spent in croquet and competitions. The winners of the competitions were Mesdames Stephen and Macßae. Mrs. Alger, president, on behalf of the members, presented Mrs Collingwood with a handbag, wishing her every happiness in her new home. Mrs. Collingwood suitably replied. Among those present were: Mesdames Collingwood, Alger, Buckley, Seddon, Burton, Jenkin, Allen, Rogers, Stephen, Lamplough, Macßae, Lampshire, Jenkin, Hedditch, Miss D. Bradshaw. * * * tu Thq. ; Midhirst, Sparte 'heild in the Midhirst Hall last'Thursday night, proved a great success. The music for dancing was supplied by Martin's Orchestra.
