Yukoslav and Turkish Governments are pledged to mutual assistance in the Mediterranean in the event of an attack as outlined bv Mr Fdcn, savs tire Rome correspondent of th" Mm-ning Post. The Italian reply will assert that such precautions are uncalled for. especially in view of Signor Mussolini’s repeated assurances that JtaW has no intention of attacking Britain. Italy, it is declared, does not want to make the war between Italy and AbyssinL more than a colm-ual one, and in view of this the possibility of an attack on the British fleet is said to be ridiculously out of the question.
