With the object of establishing closer union between Maori and Pakeha Rugby players a conference was held to-day between members of the New Zealand union and representatives of the native districts. It was decided that a member of the Maori race be added to the management committee for each union and sub-union carrying a large Maori population or a * reasonable number of Maori players. All matches confined to Maori players will be under the jurisdiction of the unions concerned, except the Prince of Wales Cup, which will be controlled by the New Zealand union. Four Maori selectors, one from each Maori district, will be appointed to select their teams from the nominations of the official selectors.
