NEW MYSTERY PLANE
AMERICAN MACHINE’S NEW LONG-DISTANCE RECORD

A newly designed “mystery transport plane” of Trans-Continental Western Air Lines, reported to be navigated by a mechanical pilot, arrived at New York at G. 59 o’clock to-night, making a record commercial flight from Los Angeles in 11 hours five minutes at a non-stop average speed of 220 miles an hour.
