Mr. Iloskin had first asked that the station verandah he extended the full length of the station but when the Board pointed out that the cost of such work (approximately £750) would be excessive, lie modified his request and asked (hat (he trains ho slopped under the shelter of the present verandah and (his was agreed to. The new scheme came irtto operation this morning and it will be an added service to passengers boarding or leaving trains at Stratford. j
