TRAGEDY AT SEA
LAUNCHMAN'S SAD END TRAPPED IN ENGINE ROOM Press Association —Copyright Dunedin, November 22. John Harold Outram. aged 35, a single man. lost his life at Taieri Mouth this morning. Mr.' Outram, who lived with his.brother, Mr. Thomas Outram at Kuri Bush, was part owner of the fishing launch in which he and his brother went fishing. They were returning about 9.55 a.m. with Thomas at the tiller and John in the engine-room with the door closed. A large wave struck the boat capsizing it. /Thomas was thrown out and manrffd to free himself of his heavy boots and 'trousers,' swimming ashore a distance of a mHe and a half. He had to make way against a strong outward current and was in the water for over an hour. His brother John was trapped in the engine-room and was drowned. After the news was received a fisherman went out and found the Outram's launch about two miles down the coast in a waterlogged condition. The body of deceased was recovered and the launch towed ashore,
