MR. S. G. WHITE AT HASTINGS ENGLAND-AUSTRALIA TRIP Hastings, November 13. Stanley G. White, Havelock North, the airman who recently completed a holiday flight from England to Australia, arrived at Hastings from Auckland, taking two and a-half hours on the journey. Before landing on the Hastings aerodrome be flew over his home to greet his mother, sisters and brothers, but they were at the aerodrome with a small group of friends and aero club officials waiting to greet him. Mr. White will be accorded a formal civic welcome on - Thursday, when Squadron-Leader McGregor and Mr. Walker, and possibly Squadron-Leader Hewett and Mr. Kay, visit Mr. White was at one time a pupil oi the Hastings Aero Club.
