British Wireless. Rugby, March 7. A question which on occasions during the past half-century has been tli3 subject of controversy was. settled when the House of Commons allocated £1.500,000 towards the cosl of the defence of India. Sir Samuel Hoare, Secretary for India, stated that agreement on this amount was readied between the British and Indian Governments after long negotiation. It was a reasonable settlement of a difficult question.
