MOUNTAIN VISITORS
Stratford Side Popular WEEK-END EXCURSIONS The Stratford side of Egmont was visited by a largo number of visitors at the weekend. One party of seven climbed to the summit and others went as far as the Plateau and the Hut and explored various bush walks. Eleven cars, two motor-cycles and 80 people paid tolls' at the house. The weather was beautifully fine but windy. Mountain Club members did not visit, the mountain yesterday as it was the occasion of a picnic to the Kaupokonui Peach. Next week, end, however, a working bee will be held.
