The treatment of political prisoners in Germany is becoming worse, says (he ex.editor of a Communist pnpel', who was arrested on February 28 and remained in a concentration camp at Sonnncnburg until October. He is now refuging in Britain under the assumed name of Lenlz. He visited the House of Commons, accompanied by Lord Marley, and declared that an increase of anti. Hitler propaganda was immediately reflected in heavier punishments in concentration camps. Ho had seen people lying on Ihe ground with the flesh torn off arms and backs. There were special torture cells at Sonnncnburg. where ers spent a number of days after arrival. Many died after beatings and the bodies were hung up to suggest suicide. Prisoner:', arriving from another camp were covered with vermin and compelled to stand naked for five hours. One was beaten fatally the same night.
