Spence. mad', it clear that the West Coast Federated Club would be the last that would be admitted to the policy of the Defence Department being to limit the number of federated clubs to ten. It was originally eight. For geographical reasons a West Coast club was desirable, but now that New Zealand was completely covered there was no possibility of the rVp^rt mr nt recognising any other federated clubs. The official pageant for the North Island was allocated to the Hawke's Bay club and the South Island one is to be offered to the new West Coast club. On the ground of expense the meeting decided not to proceed with the scheme to instal a system of short-wave communication between clubs.
