BOYS' AND GIRLS' CALF CLUBS
Cabinet Provides Grant
Press Onpyright
Wellington, Sept. 13
The announcement that Cabinet had decided to provide £-00 for distribution among boys' and girls' calf clubs was made by the Hon. C. E. Macmillan, Minister of Agriculture, to-night. The movement had proved a most valuable one, said the Minister, in stimulating and developing interest in farming among the scholars of primary schools and as it had been represented that the withdrawal of the Government subsidy was likely seriously to prejudice work of clubs the matter had been further considered by Cabinet, which decided to make available a sum not exceeding £2OO for distnbution to clubs. In no case will the subsidy exceed £2O.
