Body Found on Beach POLICE UNABLE TO TRACE PARENTS Exhaustive Inquiries Made Press Assockitinn.-r-Conyrisht. Wellington, Today. At the inquest today in regard to the death of a baby whose body was found in a canvas bag on the beach near Happy Valley on August 12. A detective said he had conducted exhaustive inquiries but had been unable to trace the parents. The verdict was one of murder by sonic person unknown. The evidence showed that the injuries were of such a nature as to exclude drowning as the cause of death, the injuries having been inflicted before the gody got into the water.
