Blue, Clifford Johnson and W. liargraves, released by pirates, have arrived at Newchang. No details are available regarding the final settlement though it is understood a large sum was paid tJ the kidnappers. The captives, who were the officers c£ a steamer attacked by pirates, are bearing signs of the terrible strain of long captivity and are suffering terribly front swollen mosquito bites. Nevertheless they are cheerful. "We are all right, yes!" they shouted when a large crowd greeted them to-day at the station at Newchang, where the British Consul (Mr. Clarke) awaited them, together with Japanese and Manchukuo officials. Mr. Clarke conveyed official thanks to Captain Obata and others responsible for the release.
