Berlin, Sept, 7

Tire Ministry of National Enlightenment exhorts all organisations to encourage an increase in; population by reducing the contributions of members possessing large families. Legislation is urged making a family of three or fbur children the normal German unit and granting progressive alleviation of taxation to larger families. The municipality of Lieds warns landlords refusing to rent dwellings to large families that they may find themselves in a concentration camp.

In consequence of a threat of assassination by a German secret society Professor Einstein is leaving Belgium temporarily for a friend’s yacht. His residence at Blankenberg is being strongly guarded. Professor Einstein, writing to the Press some time ago, said: “Once one could expect to fight militarism in Europe by individual refusal to bear arms. Circumstances have now completely changed. There is a power in Central Europe which is in every way preparing for a new war.”
