Japan’s Strong Fleet o Press Association. —Copyright. Tokyo. Aug. 26. The Emperor of Japan to-day reviewed at the manoeuvres the strongest fleet that has ever saluted a Japanese ruler. The tonnage was 847,766 tons, compared with 703,295 +ons in 1930. Aeroplanes numbered 18C, compared with 72, but the fleet can carry more. A striking feature was the increased strength of first-class cruisers, longer in range and stronger in striking power, replacing the predominantly light cruiser fleet of 1927,
