Prisoners were sentenced by Mr. Justice MacGregor in the Supreme Court as under: — William George John Durning, 18 months' reformative detention; and James Lawrence Jamieson Tait, two years' reformative detention for breaking, entering and theft. Fdererick John McDonald, two years' imprisonment for breaking, entering with intent to commit a crime, Hector George Grey, for breaking, entering and theft, two charges Df false pretences, and a breach of his prohiibtion license for two years on each chafge, the sentences to be concurrent. • George William Attewell, Joseph Trevor Dunn and Samuel Jamieson McKee, 18 months each reformative detention for breaking and entering with intent to commit a crime. Leslie King, for forgery and uttering, was released and ordered to come up for sentence within the next two years subject to the payment by him of the prosecution costs and making restitution of £5 13s 4d. Victoria Plihou, on two charges of breaking, entering and theft, got two years in prison on each charge, the sentences to be concurret. Roy Edward Ralph, on two charges of horse stealing, and breaking and entering, got two years on each, the sentences to be concurrent. John Raymond Smith and Lawrence Campbell Smith ,for breaking, entering and theft, got 18 months' reformative detention each. John Ralph Peny, a taxi driver who was before the Court at Wauganui on June 21 in connection with the theft of silver case, got 18 months in prison. . .
