Mrs. Lyons was At Home on Wed nesday afternoon for Miss Perry.

Mrs. Jeffries was At Home on Thursday afternoon. Those present were: Mrs. Hill, Mrs. 'Malone, Mrs. Budge, Mrs. Geo. Hall, Mrs. Lyons, Mrs. Pitt,' Mrs. Richards, Mrs. Hunt, Mrs. Coleman, Mrs. iFredrio, Mrs. Unlacke, Mrs. Harrison, Mrs. Steven, Miss J. Hill.

Mrs. Fredric was hostess of a jolly afternoon tea party on Friday. Those present, were: Mrs. Hugo, Mrs. Armstrong. Mrs. Malone, Mrs. Jeffries, Mrs., Uniacke, Mrs. Lyons, Mrs. N. Douglas, Mrs. R. Tyrer, Mrs. Vincent, Miss McDonald (Hawera). During the afternoon Mrs. Vincent gave some charming pianoforte, solos.

Last week Mrs. Lyons was hostess of a "pantry tea" for Miss Mary Massey prior to her Avedding. Those present were: Miss Joan Coleman, Miss Molly Lyons, Miss Molly Malone, Miss Molly Whittle," the Misses Boyle, Zoe and Ola Masters. Many delectables were presented to the guest of honour.

Mrs. O'Neil arranged an afternoon which was held at Mrs. Master's residence for Miss Massey (Mrs. Joblin).

Mrs. McDowall had some friends for bridge on Wednesday afternoon. Those playing were: Mrs. Geo. Hall, Mrs. Truby King, Mrs. Haselden, Mrs. Fredric, Mrs. Richards, Mrs. Hunt and Mrs. TJrwin.

The Catholic card party held in the school hall was a popular entertainment and most enjoyable. Amongst the large crowd present were: Miss E. Malone and Miss H. Grant (hostesses for the evening), Mrs. Malone, Mrs. Webber, Mrs. Waite, Mrs. Beattie, Miss E. Fitzgerald, Mrs. Casey, the Misses McDonald. Miss Dwyer, Miss E. Lennon, Miss C. Fisher, Mrs. Keegan, Miss Leydon, Mrs. Sisarich, the Misses Uhlenberg, Mrs. and the Misses Kovaleski, Mrs. Elgar, Mr. Southerland, the Misses Laverty, Miss O'Connor, Miss N. O'Connor, Mrs. W. Brown, Mrs. O'Lcary, Mrs. Wood, Miss Whittle, Mrs. Hignett, Mrs. Radich, Miss M. Brown and a host of partners. A very dainty supper was provided by the ladies.

The fire brigade Held another euchre party on Wednesday when an enjoyable evening- was spent. Some of those present were: Mr. and Mrs. S.
