Japanese reports states that, as a result of the battle of Chicnan, the Japanese suffered 100 casualties, while the Chinese lost 1500. It was the hottest battle since the latest drive commenced. A Japanese brigade captured Chienan on Monday and is now pushing towards Luachow. Japanese planes are bombing Fengyun, 20 miles north of Tongshan, where important British coal mines are situated. They are now heavily bombarding the Kupeikow Pass, also cast of Luancho.
