Fatal Accident on East Coast Press Association —Copyright. Gisborne, May 7. *A distressing tragedy occurred in Waimata Valley this afternoon when Alexander Lyons Warrington, a blacksmith residing at Waerengaahika, was accidentally shot by his 17-ycar-old son and died shortly afterwards. Father and son were hunting pheasants and were working up river, the father being between thirty and forty yards from the son. One pheasant rose and flew in the direction of the father. The son fired and the father called out that he was shot. The son rushed to the spot and found his father had received the charge in his face and chest. He died within five minutes.
