STRATFORD S.M. COURT

Fortnightly Sitting JUDGMENT IN DEBT CASES The fortnightly sitting of the Stratford Magistrate’s Court was held today, Mr. W. H. Woodward, S.M., presiding. Judgment for plaintiffs was given in the following undefended civil cases: Stratford Borough Council v. A. McLean, £3 18s Sd; Taranaki Chain Stores, Ltd., v. D. R. Evans, £1 12s lOd (costs 8s); same v. Win. Kerr, junr., £6 16s Gd (£1 10s Gd). On a judgment summons E. V. Roebuck was ordered to pay Taranaki Chain Stores, Ltd., the sum of £1 IGs 8d: forthwith, ‘in default three days’ imprisonment, warrant to be suspended on payment of 10s within a month and 10s a month thereafter.
