April 24.- —The Avondale Jockey Club's autumn meeting concluded to-day in showery weather. The track was soft after weekend rain. There was a good attendance of the public and the totalisator handled £19,098 10s, compared with £18,562 10s last I year. The total for the meeting was £39,703 10s, compared with £39,772 10s last ! year, a decrease of £69. Details of the racing are: — MT. EDEN HANDICAP. Of £l5O. There was an excellent start. Tradesman was the first to get an advantage. He held it throughout to win in convincing fashion. Greek Gold and Instalment both went consistent races. Greymouth, April 25. —The Greymouth Jockey Club’s autumn meeting was held in line weather and before a good attendance. The track was heavy after rains which caused a postponement from Saturday. The win and place totalisator handled £4542, compared with £4940 on the corresponding day last year. The results are:— FLYING HANDICAP. Of £7O.
