I SPECIAL MEETING OF BOARD

Developments in the butter situation will be considered at a special meeting of the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board in Wellington to-day. The Australian Dairy Produce Board has made certain confidential suggestions i-egard-ing the restriction proposals which it desires should be discussed before the board’s representatives leave for Australia.

Although independent decisions on ! the quota plan have already been made the meeting in Australia will afford an opportunity for concerted action by Imjw Zealand and Auckland. The whole question of marketing and the spread of shipments will come under review and a unifoim basis of agrement will be sought. Mr. W. Dynes Fulton, acting-chair-man of the board, Mr. W. Grounds and Mr. T. C. Brash, secretary, will leave Wellington for Australia by the Wanganella on Friday. They will return to New Zealand on the same vessel, arriving at Auckland on April 26.
