RELIEF WORKER ARRESTED Whitianga, Feb.' 21'.—Yesterday afternoon Constable ''Cannon, of Whiiianga, arrested' Jolin'Livingston, aged 36,,,a relief \Vdrker', 1 \VhO''was charged 'in' the Policfe Court" at" 7J30 last evening before Messrs. LyW and LeeJ J.P.'s, with having indecently 'as J saulted a girl under 1C years of age n<?fl.r 'Whitianga on the 18th ihst.; ' alao: with having, on the same date,' Assaulted Ralph Beaumont by striking him on the mouth with his clenched fist. Accused was not represented by counsel, and was not asked to plead in either case. Constable Cannon asked for a remand to Thames, which was granted
