Sir,—T extend the sincere thanks of my committee to the president and members of the South Taranaki Automobile Association and other owners of cars for their generosity in assisting in the transport of the Parliamentary party and the large number of other visitors who attended at the opening of the road to the Stratford Plateau yesterday. I also thank the Taranaki and South Taranaki Automobile Associations for placing at our disposal the service officers who so ably controlled the traffic—l am, etc., J. C.
