PICTURE STOLEN

THEFT FROM ART GALLERY (Special Service.) WANGANUI, Today.—A small framed picture on ivory has been stolen from the walls of the Sergeant Ait Gallery, The frame has been recovered and returned to the gallery. lr. was found by a small hoy mid given to his mother, who leturncd it. The picture was presented to the gallery by the Walker Galleries in Louden, through Mr. and Mrs. Xeamc, and represented thr..e young women bathing. It was painted by Muriel Walker, an artist of note, who has pictures m the South Kensington Gallery. As the picture was very small it was quite possible for the thief to bide it under a top coat.
