LONDON, Wed.—The saving of £23,000,000 anticipated as a result of the war loan conversion is not the only prospective economy in debt expenditure, says the Daily Tele. graph. It is well known that the Treasury is preparing plans for the conversion of other issues, and the paper sug. gests the most likely are the £13,. 500,000 4| per cent. 1925.45, the £140,000 000 41 1932-34, the £14,000,000 4?. Treasury bends due for repayment in February, and the £115,000,000 5 per cent, bonds 1933. 35. All offer a substantial saving on conversion. It is suggested in some quarters that the Treasury could issue five year bonds on a 2| per cent, basis.
