Received To-day, 8.40 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day.—Yielding to the Governments' desire for a curtailment of racing, officials of the Metropolitan and .Provincial Race Clubs held a confercnee.'in Sydney and agreed to a reduction of r>2 days in the racing year. At present racing iii sdine| form or other occurs on 207 days of 'the year in the metropolis or coutnry. It was also decided to eliminate the clashing of meetings held under the auspices of the Australian Jockey Club and the, Associated Racing Clubs. The latter will have six Saturdays in the year free of opposition for their meetings.
