CARDIFF

SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNUAL CONCERT i On Wednesday evening ,the Sunday school anniversary concert was held in the Cardiff hall. There was a fair attendance of people. The items were very much appreciated, several of the artists coming from town. The Rev. T. Skuse was chairman. The concert programme was as follows : Pianoforte duet, the Misses Hoskin; song, senior scholars, "God Hefend New Zealand"; reeitation, I'Taster J. No Well, "The Ldffer O"; song, Rev. Skuse (encored) |v dance, the Misses D. and L. Goble (encored); song, Mr. W, Have.(encored);' recitation. Master W. Nowell; pianoforte duet, the Misses E. Cameron #lid B. B run ton; song. Miss Dorothy Nowell (encored); song, Mr. Lonsdale (en. cored); song, the senirr scholars, "The Farmyard"; recitation, Master Ted Brunton; song, Mr. W,. Hancock; song, Miss E. Gadsby (encored); pianoforte solo, Ken Horn (encored); veal duet, Mr. and Mrs. Hook (en., cored); recitation, Miss Betty Bruliton (encored); song, senior scholars, "E Pari Ra"; quartet, Mr. Lonsdale, Mr and Mrs. Hock and Mr. Have (encored).

Mrs. D. Brunton (head teacher) then thanked the people present for their appreciation of the concert. She also thanked Miss Freda Belcher ,£is her assistant teacher and Master ken Horn as tke infant teacher. She then asked Mr. Skitee to present the prizes to the children. A good supper was provided by the ladies of the district. Personal Mr. C. Evans is staying at Wanga. mii. Mr. and Mrs. C. Vezey, Mokau, and Mrs. E. F. Spray. New Plymouth, snen,, the week-end with Mr, and Mrs. Huckster Old Tims Dance in Cardiff Halt On Tuesday evening an old time dance was held in the local hall in pid <f the hall funds. There was a fair attendance of dancers present. Extras were played by MrS. •' D. Brown and Mrs. Lentell. Mr. W. My« ers was master of ceremonies.
