FARM WORK FOR BOYS

HAWERA BUREAU ESTABLISHED Following on the discussion at the Hawera Chamber of Commerce Council meeting on Friday evening last, the president of the chamber has interviewed Mr. J. E. Campbell, honorary secretary of the Hawera Unemployment Relief Committee, and ascertained that a number of inquiries have already been received for boys for farm work.

As the most effective means of enabling boys who are at present unemployed to get in touch with the farmers, Mr. Campbell has kindly consented to receive the names of all boys seeking farm positions and to endeavour to put them in touch with farmers who have vacancies. Boys who are leaving school shortly and desire temporary or permanent farm employment are also advised to get in touch with Mr. Campbell and register their names with him for future vacancies that may occur.
