CHILDREN’S FANCY DRESS BALL
The scene in the Stratford Town Hall on Saturday was gay with the colours of the fancy dresses worn by the children at the ball under the auspices of the Plunket Society, and the young people thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The committee, of which Mrs. Urwin is secretary, worked hard to make the evening enjoyable for the children. The committee are grateful for the donations of money for the prizes.

Prizes were won as follow;—Boys': First, “Admiral,” R. Lamplough; second, “Chinaman,” IT. Amess. Girls: First, “Grannie,” M. Sotheran; second, “Old English Gentleman,” G. Amess. Specials: “Pierrette,” Joan Curtis; “Bell Boy,” M. Steven; “Nigger Minstrel,” A. Healy.
