TERRORISTS USE BOMBS
INDIAN OUTRAGE; BOY INJURED SMALL ARSENAL CALCUTTA, Aug. 14.—With a crash that could be heard throughout the city, a bomb at Allahabad wrecked the door of a building used as a branch post office and injured a boy sleeping on the verandah opposite. The victim was struck by a piece of flying metal.
The discovery of eight bombs, a pistol, and a quantity of ammunition hi a house at Chittagong, furnish further evidence of terrorist activity. Following the example set by the Calcutta, Karachi, and other branches of the European Association, the Bombay branch has demanded immediate Government action against those who extol political murderers, and advocate defiance of the law. Congress volunteers’ protection of a liquor shop led to riotous scenes in Bombay. Sixteen persons ‘ were injured. The secretary of the Bombay Provincial Congress Committee was injured by revolver shots fired from a crowd. The difficulties of the coming Round Table Conference are accentuated by the decision of the Mohammedans (sitting at Allahabad) to insist upon majority representation in the legislatures of the five provinces in which they are in the majority. They demand that this shall he conceded before the Federal Structure Sub-committee meets; otherwise, they will boycott it. Such a concession is so unlikely that the Round Table Conference, when resumed, will probably result in a deadlock,
