PLUNKET SOCIETY

REPORT FOR THE MONTH The usual monthly meeting of the Stratford Plunket Society was held yesterday in the Plunket' rooms. >, There were present Mesdames L. . Curtis (chair), Allen, Predric, Kay, It Curtis, Haselden, Hall, Masters, TJrwin. Apologies were received from Mesdames Martin Cuthbert, E. Young, Jardlne. The Plunket Nurse reported as follows: for the month of June: —Children under five years under supervision, 300; babies under two years, 276; visits to home, Stratford 60, El- i ttam 37, Mldhlrst 24; total 121; visits to rooms, mothers 184, babies 173, children 65, visitors 32; total 454. New cases for month: Stratford 9, Eltham 4. Sales: Kariol 501 b, Karil 31b, Karilac 361 b. Letters received and answered, 4. Votes of thanks were passed to Drs. W. P. and D. Gordon for the use of their residence for the bridge party recently held; to Mr. T. Smith, %ho kindly lent chairs; and to Mr. Xt. Curtis, who gave valuable help on the same occasion. Subscriptions were received during the month from the following mem r hers: Mesdames Predric, Steven, Graham, Masters, Hall, Mahon, McCullough, Lyons, Abraham J. GroshinsKi, Harris,‘‘Anderson, A. Stewart, R. Binnie, N. Rowe, T. Anderson, B. Harris; a donation of 10s from Mrs. Green; and about £lO 10s was raised as a result of theb ridge party.
