FARMER KILLED IN MOTOR CRASH
WAS IN ZEEBRUGGE RAID “ WIDOW IN UNITED STATES Press Association. —Copyright. WHANGAREI. This Day. William Samuel Newberry, a farmer of Parua Bay, was killed on Saturday night at W’aikaraka, six tiniles from when a car of which he was the sole occupant toppled over a bank. Deceased served aboard H.M.S. Vindictive in the historic Zeebrugge raid. His widow is touring the United States and one son, Reginald, is a prominent vocalist who is undergoing a high-grade musical training on the Continent. Another son resides at AVhangarei.
