ITALIAN PLANE WRECKED

The aeroplane 564, in which Maddalena Ceconi achieved a duration record, crashed near Leghorn after an explosion. The cockpit of the machine was found buried in sand in seven fathoms of water near the shore. The petrol tank was recovered three hundred yards off shore. The body of one occupant, Damoute, was found, but two others are believed to be in the wreckage.
