The Union Company’s steamer Maungamii has been withdrawn from the intercolonial service owing to the slackness of trade. The Maungamii will remain at Auckland for overhaul and on April 10 she will resume in the service, replacing the Marama, which is to be withdrawn at Wellington on April G. This means that for some mouths during the slack season there will be only two passenger steamers in the inter-colonial service, the Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa, and one Union Company vessel.
