RISE IN WOOL PRICES

Press Association. —Copyright. WELLINGTON, This Day,

The wool sales opened with a catalogue of 20,166 bales. Competition was exceedingly keen, and all sections were operative, practically 99 per cent, of the wool offered being sold so far. There is a rise on average disposals of fully 2d on the February rates and possibly more. Lambs’ wool is fully to 3d up, super wools are 3d up. The market is very strong and all descriptions of bellies and pieces are selling well.
