VISIT TO HOLY LAND TENNIS
ARCHBISHOP OF CANTERBURY OBJECTIONS FROM VATICAN Press Association. —Copyright. (Reed. 9.30 a.m.) (Times Cable.) LONDON, March 14. “The Times" Rome correspondent states that although the report that the Vatican has formally protested against, the Archbishop of Canterbury visiting Palestine is incorrect, there is reason to belioev that the Vatican has conveyed certain considerations to the British Government. 11 is recalled that the previous proposed visit, the news of which provided opposition from Roman Catholics who reside in the Hily Land, was abandoned, abandoned.
Such a visit to holy places by the Archbishop of Canterbury would embarrass, not only Roman Catholics, but other Christian cults, and the Vatican considers nothing could be gained by changing the equilibrium which has been established, but it does not see any objection to the Archbishop of Canterbury making a and visiting Palestine privately as an health voyage to the Mediterranean ordinary pilgrim.
