NOTES ON PROGRAMMES 2YA. The vocal portion of llYA’s programme this evening will be undertaken by Signor Lucien Cesaroni and his talented company, who will provide a splendid variety of numbers, many of them with orchestral accompaniment. Signor Cesaroni will sing “The Two Grenadiers,' “Bedouin Love Song,” “Star of Eve,” "Song of the Flea,” and "The Calf of Gold.” ;sya. The Christchurch Municipal Band, under Conductor J. Noble, will provide the evening’s concert from ,jA. The assisting vocalists will be Miss Nellie Billciitr (mezzo-soprano), Mrs. S. W. Williamson (contralto, of Kaikoura), Mr. J. Haydn Williams (tenor), and Mr. Bert Goodland (humorist). The band will present a well-varied programme including, in view of it being the eve of St. Patrick’s Day, Ordt'.Hume’s “Gems of Irish Melodies” and' the old favourite, “Londonderry Air.” 4YA. A programme ot light music will be provided by Pettitt’s Sextet at 4YA. The items will include selections from “The Cabaret Girl” and “Katinka.” Some popular vocal artists will contribute to the evening’s entertainment: Miss Lucy James (contralto, one of 4YA’s new artits), Miss Helen Hoy (mezzo-contralto), Miss Freda Eirnes (soprano), Mr. A. Snell (baritone), and Mr. Geo. Crawford (tenor). Silent day at IYA.
