SINGLES WON BY F. WESTON, AVON CLUB The play-off for the champion of champions of the four divisions in Taranaki eventuated yesterday at Hawera green, the representatives being A. C. Smith (Park), C. A. Smith (Opunake), Weston (Avon), and Billing (West End). Results of the preliminary rounds —the event was conducted on the two-life principle —are: First Round A. C. Smith 21, beat C. A. Smith 17. Weston 22, beat Billing IG. Second Round Weston 22, beat A. C. Smith 15. Billing 21, beat C. A. Smith 9. Third Round A. C. Smith 22, beat Billing 7. Fourth Round Smith 23, beat Weston 9. Final Weston 21, beat Smith 19. AVON V. NEW PLYMOUTH The following will play for Avon to-morrow against New Plymouth, at Avon: —Mantle, Bulman, Hardy-Joues. P. Jackson; Rogers, Robins, J. Walker, McDonald; Burke, Clark, North, Aurley, Clemow, Power, Masters, Betts. As Waitara may bring some rinks the following will play: Keller, Moss, Rudkin, Wilson, Pennington, Pearce, Colliugwood, A. I). Walker. Players are requested to bring a plate. ANOTHER^LAUREL By winning the Champion of Champions, Mr. F. Weston has the honour of being the first player to bring the championship to Stratford. Thus Avon have added another laurel to their record.
