CIVIL SERVANT’S admission STATE ADVANCES FUNDS NEW PLYMOUTH, March 11. The theft of £595 was admitted by William Sydney Evans, an officer in the Inglewood Post Office, and he was committed for sentence at Wellington, The sum stolen comprised amounts paid by farmers in respect of State Advances Loans. Receipts were issued by Evans, but the amounts received were never paid to the proper accounts.
