FAILED TO VAPORISE
A LIQUID SMOKE SCREEN MISHAP AT AIR PAGEANT JAPANESE ONLOOKEES INJURED TOKIO, Marc'. 9. There was an unprecedented mishap during aeroplane manoeuvres at Tokio yesterday. A smoke screen of liquid chemical failed to vaporise owing to the low temperature and descending iu a heavy spray on dense crowds of onlookers injured faces and clothing. The authorities issued a statement explaining the mishap and promising to compensate the sufferers.
