THE "Times" Paris Correspondent states the Premier announced m the Chamber of Deputies that the Government intended to ask for credit of £400,000 for the purpose of buifyirig the Verdun dead. Deputy Haye declared that it was scandalous that the ■work, of reafforestation should have been begun in an area where thousands of dead still remained. The Pensions Minister, M; Ribes, replied that it was impossible to search the 100,000 acres comprising the Verdun battlefield, but the Government would do its utmost to see that the recovered dead were suitably buried as early as possible.
