NEW RAILWAY FREIGHTS.
MANURE RATE OBJECTED TO. HAMILTON, Last Night. Strong opposition to railway freights, especially those on manure, was expressed by a large meeting of tho Waikato sub-provinchi branch of the Farmers' Union at Hamilton today. "It is an. extremely serious position when the Government sets out to make it harder for the man on the land," s»id Mr. F. L. Onion. "At p-osent the farmers can. just manap;° to buy manure. Soon, they will he unable to purchase it owing io the hH, railwav FroigHs. Thou will be a renercussion on individuals, and ultimately r>n the whole country."
