BTRATFORD *. STAR. Stratford met Star on Victoria, Park on Saturday ajod won by 11 to 3. The game was hard and fast, with a few touches of bright play, but for the most part it was of a scrambling nature. The visitors caused excitement noV and again when they seemed set for a try, and their determined efforts to score considerably brightened the game. THE TEAMS. Star. Walter was brought down near the line after a short run ,but a Star farlward dash took play to the Stratford 25. Stratford worked upfield and Fryday, securing from a scrum ,enabled Grace to kick well up. Scrambling play followed and a long kick saw Stratford forced. Kivell was pulled up on a promising run by an opponent's infringement and then a Stratford back movement was solidly countered. Fromi a scrum in Star territory the ball went to grace, to Hamilton to Taylor, who wa« pulled down near the line. From a melee following a sonum here «• long kick was forced.
