WATERSIDER’S OFFENCES
ASSAULT ON FOREMAN NEW PLYMOUTH, April 16. Arising out of the belief tii• be was being victimised in non-engagement for work on the waterside, Thomas Farley, a member of the Watersiders 1 Union, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court to-day on a charge of assaulting the foreman and using obscene language. Defendant alleged that victimisation had been taking place for three mouths. The assault took place when tiro foreman refused defendant work in place of a sick man. Defendant was convicted on both charges and lined £.l for assault,-and. is to come; uj) for sentence if called upon within six months for obscene language.
